I don't have the lok at the moment, but if the steam chest is simulated then you may need to open the throttle and close it quickly again two or three times to get a gentle start. We call it pumping the throttle, several advanced British loks need this technique when starting, like the real loks.

It is in the RSDerek folder because it started as a private project, potentially freeware. But it grew arms and legs as we say and DTG decided to release it as payware. This has been many years in the making and was never intended as a commercial release, with the man hours involved it never could be.As Derek did the majority of the work in his own time, it will be profitable for DTG.

There will also be a class 395 soundpack

@120 I would agree once you have Steam Sound Supreme sound packs and indeed AP's sound packs it can be very hard to live with the sims default sounds.

So far I have 102 loks and treibwagen fitted with decoders. 9 are fitted with sound. I have been collecting British models for about 40 years , and German & Netherlands models for about 30 years. I have many makes of German models Roco, Trix, Brawa, Acme, Piko, Fleischmann and more. I also have some Maerklin Hamo loks, does anybody here have any experience of converting these to DCC? I wonder if I can use an ordinary decoder. It seems to work with the older Trix models that look to have the some motor as the hamo models, but it is necessary to turn of the back EMF.

Plasser and Thuerer machines have been in use in Britain since 1960. Post privatisation many have ended up with the maintenance contractors rather than Network Rail. The reasons are many, they mostly sound logical, and mostly are equally stupid or naive.

By co-incedence my next project is fitting a decoder into a Fleischmann 103, but no sound and only about 10 years old I think. I still have another 250 loks to fit decoders to, so sound will be restricted to a select few and the sound fitted loks I already have. It will be at least two years to get them all done if all goes well.

My latest project, fitting a decoder to a 26 year olod Roco BR335

The installer is not an RWP, it is an MSI Installer. It is quite easy to install

Most of the vehicles on UKTS are fictional repaints.

New to me, but interesting

For me in the 90's on the Milloneon Line in The Netherlands. Simpelveld> Schin op Geul> Simpelveld> German Border> Simpelveld. An interesting experience. Come to think of it, was probably in the early noughties rather than the 90's.

Rather than start a new thread I will adapt this one, further news from AP;
Recording of sounds for the Waggonz class 313/315 has been done. Very much looking forward to this. Also another class 37 has been recorded, so presumably another pack is on it's way for that as well

Slightly off topic, but if you are interested in seeing, and very definetely listening to British Diesels working hard then I would recomend this http://www.locomaster.co.uk/the_power_hour_3.htm paypal is needed. Also needed are very understanding neighbours
. There are also volumes 4 & 5 which I have not seen, but I would expect to be equally loud. Also available from Amazon uk if you prefer http://www.amazon.co.uk/Power-…=1-1&keywords=power+hour3 -
