For me the route is well detailed. I often travelled over it from the mid 60's to 2002. It captures the feel of the route, but the A60/62 stock is what I miss most, they were an old friend. Performance wise as already said the route is not suitable for weak computers. Th manuals for stock and route are poor. I also have the S8 already so took the route with discount.
The S7+1 has a different interior to the S8 and no longer exists as they are all back to S7 after losing their extra car. The S7+1 was a temporary measure due to issues with the S8. -

Railways of Devon and Cornwall V9.0 now available https://www.vulcanproductions.…ysofdevonandcornwall.html
The Railways of Devon and Cornwall (RDC) hugely modifies and extends DTG’s ‘Riviera Line’. Much of the original Riviera Line scenery has been improved and brought up to date. There’s track and detailed scenery all the way from Whiteball Summit (near Taunton) to Liskeard and many other areas beyond, including around Hayle, St Austell, Par, St Blazey and Penzance. There’s also track and stations only between Liskeard, Hayle and Looe; Whiteball Tunnel and Bristol; and between Honiton and Axminster.
The completed areas have incredibly detailed, accurate scenery. Updates to the route include real life changes as they occur or are planned, for example the new Exeter depot and stations at Marsh Barton and Okehampton. The route manual includes specifics about the detailed areas, installation instructions and all the required routes you’ll need to install and use the route. It’s really important that you read it carefully before you add it to your system.
The route includes 95 scenarios of real life and other workings across the route, from steam, diesel and classic DMU railtours to accurate depictions of the contemporary and recent timetables. -
I don't know, you would have to ask JT

The letter is only for owners of the S8 advanced. If you own this and don't receive the letter contact JT support. I have had problems with these kind of offers in the past.
S8 Advanced Update:
There's a New S8 Advanced Undeground Stock software now available with updates, fixes and 13 new scenarios for Just Trains' forthcoming Metropolitan Line route add-on.
Current owners will have received an email from us with details of the update and also with your discount code for the Metropolitan Line -
Getting close now https://www.justtrains.net/pro…dvanced-underground-stock
S7+1 London Underground stock has been in service since 2010 and is only used on the Metropolitan line. The S stock ('S' stands for 'Sub-surface’) has less seating than previous trains but is capable of faster acceleration and has more room for standing passengers.
S7+1 stock has air conditioning and low floors to facilitate access for disabled passengers. It is possible for passengers to walk from one car to the next while the train is moving.
The S7+1 has been developed in conjunction with a current S7+1 driver to ensure the utmost authenticity and accuracy and 13 scenarios for Just Trains' Metropolitan Line route are included.
The S7+1 will operate on any third- or fourth-rail route but Just Trains' Metropolitan Line has been specifically developed for the S7+1 and S8 Advanced and the Just Trains London-Aylesbury route includes the section of the Metropolitan line which runs beside the main line route. These routes include custom London Underground signalling and various invisible markers which allow the functioning of S7+1 features such as the tripcock safety device, door opening interlock and the simulated in-cab video screens which display at stations. Certain advanced features of the S7+1 will not function on routes that are not specifically designed for it.

TS2017 Raildriver and Joystick Interface V3.1.4 released
Fixed an issue with the KEY_SLASH (forward slash) used for the Handbrake not working correctly (typo on my part which crept in, in V2.0.0 would you believe).
I have also added updates to the lever maps for the AP Class 50, AP Class 350 and RSSLO BR612 supplied by Crrispy. These can be found in the updates folder and will require extracting to the TS2017 Raildriver and Joystick Interface folder. -
Unfortunately it does not work with TSW, but it is possible to have a combi-lever and brake lever. I am just too tired to try to remember. It will probably be the weekend before I recover and have time. There is an explanation in the thread on UKTS I think, but it is a very long thread. It is possible that somebody here will give you the answer before I do.

Double update;
TS2017 Raildriver and Joystick Interface V3.1.2 released
Advanced Mode - Speed Limit Update for both the overlay and serial port data
If you are using Advanced mode and put the reverser into reverse, then the data for the NextSpeedLimitBackSpeed and NextSpeedLimitBackDistance will be sent to the serial port instead of NextSpeedLimitSpeed and NextSpeedLimitDistance but with a negative number to show that it is the speed limit behind being displayed. If you switch to the rear cab then the speed limits should swap so that what was the speed limit behind, now becomes the speed limit in front.
Unfortunately this does not work for all loco’s so I have included a macro called “MACRO_TOGGLE_SPEEDLIMIT” which will switch the forward/back speed limits on each call.
To use it simply edit your button map, select the “Add New Command “ from the right click menu option, give the Control Name box a name (I used “Switch Speed Limits”) and select the “MACRO_TOGGLE_SPEEDLIMIT” from the Key box, it is the last item in the list, finally assign a button to it.
This does the same as pressing Shift+Alt+D when the overlay is displayed.
This update also works on the overlay so when you select reverse, the overlay shows the speed limit behind. The data sent to the serial port will be as follows. For the speed limit ahead,
SpeedLimit:NextSpeedLimitSpeed:50.00 and SpeedLimit:NextSpeedLimitDistance:50.00
And for the speed limit behind,
SpeedLimit:NextSpeedLimitSpeed:-50.00 and SpeedLimit:NextSpeedLimitDistance:-50.00TS2017 Raildriver and Joystick Interface V3.1.3 released
Fixed a long standing error when saving lever map data to many files that occurred when the ControlName was changed. This was caused by the program searching on the changed version of the ControlName instead of the original ControlName resulting in the entry not being found.
As usual, all existing users simply extract the files in the download to you current folder overwriting all existing files.
