Habe nun den Inhalt der beiden Verzeichnisse gelöscht, der Start des Steam-Clients funktionierte anschließend ohne Probleme.

Im Verzeichnis \htmlcache werden sofort wieder die Unterverzeichnisse angelegt und es entstehen neue Dateien. So wie Prelli schon vermutete, sind dies die Dateien, welche innerhalb des Steam-Clients angezeigt und verwendet werden.

\overlayhtmlcache wird erst bei Start des TS wieder benutzt. Neue Dateien werden bei Klick auf den Engine Driver angelegt.

Unter ...\Steam\config\ existieren unter anderen zwei Verzeichnisse: \htmlcache" und \overlayhtmlcache.

Hat jemand Ahnung, ob die darin enthaltenen Dateien gelöscht werden können?

In meinem Fall sind im \htmlcache 308MB / 1911 Dateien und im \overlayhtmlcache 33MB / 412 Dateien.

Bei http://www.dpsimulation.org.uk steht eine neue Freeware-Route "South West Branch Line - by Devon Labuschagne" zum Download zur Verfügung.

The South West Branch line is a freeware route created in Train Simulator 2014. The route loosely represents the line from Barnstaple to Exeter, better known as the Tarka line.

The route runs from the country town of Ashborough through the North Devon countryside to the mainline station of Stornton. It then continues onto to Stornton Central and ends at Redhurst Park. A route map depicting the route can be found in the manual. Requirements for this route have been kept at a minimum, with the vast majority of assets included in the package. However, you will require the European Loco & Asset Pack which is available from Steam. Users who owned the program prior to Train Simulator 2012 will already own this, it is also included with many popular routes such as WCML North & WCML Over Shap along with many others.

Several scenarios are included with the route and all use the above European Loco & Asset pack. Alternative versions of these scenarios are also included, these make use of further payware requirements for authenticity and details of these requirements are listed in the supplied manual.

Many members of the community helped contribute towards this fantastic route and details of these contributions can be found in the user manual. This route is also not to be shared or hosted on other websites or servers.

Neue Version 5.0.69 (10.05.2014):

v5.0.69 - Fixed the thumbnail viewer in the Edit Assets screen. Clicking on any item in the 'Name' column will now correctly display a thumbnail of the item, firstly if there is a 'LocoInformation' folder for the loco which includes an 'image.png' file. If not then the program will display a thumbnail from the 'Thumbnails' folder if one exists, and lacking that will display the first .tgpcdx file listed for the object. Hovering the mouse over the thumbnail will display +/- controls which can be used to zoom in/out on
the picture.

v5.0.68 - It appears that some changes made previously in the 'Check Route/Scenario' options have broken the options to Package both Routes and Scenarios. The RW_RouteSetup.exe also had some bugs in it. I have therefore fixed both these options and included a new Version of RW_RouteSetup.exe in this package.

A new Russian language file, Lang_Russian.txt has been included in the Language folder thanks to 'Fox 25' for this file. Please note that if you wish to use this file then the 'Locale' of your PC must be changed to 'Russia' otherwise the Cyrilic characters will not appear.
