    Neue Freeware Stecke "Barnstaple to Exeter" bekannt als Tarka Line.


    The Barnstaple to Exeter line is a freeware route created in Train Simulator 2014. This real life representation of the route is based on the line from Barnstaple to Exeter, better known as the Tarka line.


    The Barnstaple to Exeter route (better known as the Tarka Line), runs from the North Devon town of Barnstaple to the mainline station of Exeter St David's. In this route for Train Simulator 2014 the line is covered in full from Barnstaple to Exeter St David's as well as the nearby stations of Exeter Central and St James Park. A route map depicting the route can be found in the manual. Requirements for this route have been kept at a minimum, with the vast majority of assets included in the package. However, you will require the Riviera Line from Steam and the European Loco & Asset Pack which is also available from Steam. Users who owned the program prior to Train Simulator 2012 will already own this, it is also included with many popular routes such as WCML North & WCML Over Shap along with many others.


    Six scenarios are included with the route and all use the above Riviera Line and European Loco & Asset pack. Quick Drive is also fully enabled on the route from several start points to enable you to drive any steam or diesel train of your choice.


    Many members of the community helped contribute towards this fantastic route and details of these contributions can be found in the user manual. This route is also not to be shared or hosted on other websites or servers.

    Neue Version 1.0.33 (12.06.2014):


    v1.0.33 - 1. Discovered that the code to look for Provider/Product in the RouteProperties.xml and ScenarioProperties.xml file was case sensitive, this should not have mattered, but in some cases these files had been edited manually and case changed. This is now fixed
    2. Once again I have reduced the screen height, hopefully it will now allow the buttons to be visible on all screen resolutions.

    Clan Pacific 'Hengist'


    The new-build 'Hengist' locomotive has oval buffers, tablet catcher brackets removed from the cab side, operational air braking installed and the footplate access doors fitted to the tender and not the locomotive. It is in pristine condition and equipped with AWS and speedometer. The distinctive sound of the Westinghouse air pump can be heard. We have included a set of configurable Southern region headcode discs and the Hengist's rear damper. In the cab are TPWS and OTMR panels although these are non-operational. The air brake system has its own set of gauges included.

    You can choose to drive each of the ten originally built Clans with fully 3D-rendered nameplates. (To do this you need to put the correct locomotive number in via the scenario editor.)

    COACHES


    This package includes three types of Mk.1 coaches created by Just Trains, all complete with passenger view, a unique leaking steam effect from the coach heating system and connecting vacuum hose pipes and steam heat pipes. The steam heating can be turned on and off from the locomotive footplate control.

    v1.0.32 - WARNING - MAKE SURE YOU USE THIS VERSION ONLY
    I have had 2 reports of users who have lost their Routes using earlier versions. I have not been able to replicate this but it appears to have happened when the program has had another operation started before it has finished moving folders from the Content\Routes to the StoreC\Routes folder. At this point the folder containing the Routes has been deleted rather than the empty folder.


    This new version v1.0.32 gives a warning if any attempt is made to delete a folder which still has sub-folders. This allows the
    user to exit/rerun the program to restore everything to its normal locations.

    Fixed a bug on the Edit Assets Screen Updated the Scenario Editor so that if you swap rolling stock, it now adds the new Provider/Product entry to the ScenarioProperties.xml file - this makes it compatible with my StoreThem Utility.

    v1.0.31 - Includes a number of changes:-
    a. New buttons on the 'Store Routes' tab - 'Store Everything' and 'Restore Everything' which allow you to store/restore all routes and assets with a single click of the button.
    b. New buttons on the 'List all .ap files' tab to Select / Unselect All .ap files to speed things up.
    c. Height of window reduced again, hopefully all users will now be able to see the buttons.
    d. Fixed error handling for some options, e.g. If a user clicks on the Extract button without actually selecting anything the program was crashing.
