Neue Version 6.0.28 (15.01.2015):
v6.0.28 - Added a couple of new options:
a. A new option on the 'Check Routes and Scenarios' screen - "List Routes with Scenario Types' which produces a list as under giving the route name and the number of QD, Career, Standard and Free Roam scenarios for each route.
Bristol to Exeter 2 0 8 2
Cajon Pass 2 10 38 14
Canadian Mountain Passes 2 9 1 5
etc.
b. The reason it took so long to build an Index.csv list of rolling stock was that a few rolling-stock builders did NOT use the file format as originally suggested when RailSimulator came out. i.e. that ALL rolling stock items should be in a folder named 'RailVehicles'.As a few builders did not use this name, and Continental builders used foreign folder names, I had to program RW_Tools to search EVERY folder for stock rather than just those folders with the name 'RailVehicles' somewhere in the folder name. I have now added a new tick box which appears when you select 'Rolling Stock Only' named 'Default folders' - if you select this box, then RW_Tools will only search for rolling stock in the standard named folders. In my case, it found 7510 items without this box ticked and 7494 with it ticked, but completed in 25 mins rather than many hours for only 16 items to be missed. So if you can put up with a few items being missed,
this is much faster. -

Challenger Physics Upgrade ist veröffentlicht:
Thank you for downloading this upgrade for the Union Pacific Challenger. This upgrade is for the Challenger that was made available for Steam after the release of Sherman Hill back in Train Simulator 2013. If you own any previous versions of the Challenger this upgrade will not apply without some teaking.
First off thanks to theoldessauer for beta-testing this mod! Just a note to him that there are a few more changes that I've made to this mod since the beta test so you will want to download this as well

Changes include:
-adjusting the weights for all 3 versions of the Challenger
-adjusting the tractive effort in the simulation file and the associated dcsv files
-adjusting amounts of fuel in the tenders (now displayed in imperial figures)
-enabling the cylinder cocks for manual operation (for some reason the handle in the cab does not move but the cylinder cocks do open now; best to open them with "c")
-fixing the particle emittors so that steam comes out of the cylinder cocks, turbo generators, whistle and sand comes out of the sander (unlike the Big Boy this does look like sand)
-fixing the headlights based on the fix by wopflyer
The loco now can achieve a top speed of 70mph like its real-world prototype and can definitely hold its own with a full load in either direction over Sherman Hill (be generous with the sand coming out of Laramie!).
FYI: you can indeed mix and match tenders with the Challenger pack. Water and coal/oil will enter the loco just the same as with any other tender. You can even use the Challenger's coal tender with the Big Boy if you'd like (I prefer doing that myself - it looks better) and you can put the Challenger's oil tender behind the Big Boy to more appropriately model the likely operations of #4014 when her restoration is complete and she's converted to burn oil. All you'd need to do is change the number on the tender in the scenario editor and *voila* you have a new Big Boy tender.
To install open the Railworks Utilities app and install the included .rwp file. It may be best to uninstall and install the upgrade again if you verify your cache or completely re-install your game.
If you want to try applying the actual physics part of this upgrade to the Challenger available before TS2013 you can contact me either on the forum or at my address at dtrainBNSF1@gmail.com for instructions. I fear putting the steps for that here would cause a lot of headaches and it would also be highly experimental because I don't have the older Challenger from TS2012 T_T . It would include changing a line in the associated engine files.
As always I take no responsibility for any negative side affects this upgrade may have on your computer or your copy of TS2015. Install at your own risk. I don't anticipate any problems but I have to say that.
While making this mod I became very interested in the versions of the Challenger with smoke-lifters and came across this page that contains plenty of historic information about these unique Challengers. You can find it here: http://utahrails.net/up/ttg-challengers.php

Big Boy Physics Upgrade 2 ist veröffentlicht:
Thank you for downloading this new upgrade for the Big Boy. This upgrade DOES NOT supercede the upgrade I released last Summer, rather it adds to it.
This second upgrade addresses the following issues:
-the first upgrade I developed enabled the cylinder cocks for manual operation, but no steam came out. After making some changes to the particles file steam now comes out of the cylinder cocks as well as the whistle and turbo generator.
-the sander has always been functional but before nothing was seen on the outside. Changes to the particles file now causes an animation for the sander.
*personal note: the sander animation is not actually a sander animation. For whatever reason the developers used the cylinder cocks from the Britannia to create the sand effect on the Big Boy. Why this seemed like a good idea I'll never know because it looks absolutely nothing like sand plus the animation only works on the rear set of drivers so it looks really weird. If you would prefer you can go into the Britannia's cylinder cocks .xml file in the particles folder and change the roll off rate to "2" and the animation will not occur. The sander will still do its thing but without the animation.-for whatever reason recently the headlight stopped working. This has been fixed thanks to a tip from wopflyer. He figured out how to fix it, told me about it and asked me to put it in an upgrade (to which I was more than happy to oblige). So thanks to wopflyer for fixing the headlights!
-the Big Boy originally was way to heavy. This upgrade adjusts the weight to a more appropriate weight in metric tons according to specifications from steamlocomotive.com.
-the tender weight has also been adjusted based on figures also found at steamlocomotive.com. The coal and water amounts have also been adjusted to their proper levels in imperial tons and imperial gallons. You still have more than enough to get over Sherman Hill at full tonnage.
-I noticed that when you place the Big Boy tender in the scenario editor or when you drive the Big Boy in a quick drive that the number on the tender is from the 3900-series (the challengers). While Challenger tenders carried the same amounts of coal and water as Big Boy tenders and it can easily be fixed in-game by double-clicking the tender and typing in a new number this numbering issue really bugged me. A lot. So the tender numbering has been changed to display numbers from the 4000-series (all the way from 4000-4024) when placing the tender in a scenario or driving the Big Boy in quick drive scenarios.
To install all you have to do is use the Utilities app to install the included .rwp file and you're good to go.
And that's it. Have fun with your upgraded Big Boy! I take no responsibility of any damage or harmful affects this upgrade may have on your game or your computer - install at your own risk. However I know of no problems that this can cause because it works on my end.

Neue Version 6.0.27 (09.01.2015):
v6.0.27 - Fixed a couple of cosmetic items - Buttons on the 'Find all .ap files' should no longer overlap but this does depend upon your screen resolution.
Added headings to the Report screen for the above options to check QD Consists/Fragments indicating that this report lists all Consists/Fragments with some sort of error in them, this might just be a missing loco, a bad bit of editing, or a missing path line. It is up to the user to see what the problem is and to ascertain if it is worth their while fixing it. -
Neue Version 6.0.25 (06.01.2015):
v6.0.25 - Fixed bug in the Scenario Editor whereby if the weather used by the route was in an .ap file and unreadable, it was not possible to carry out edits to the scenario. Now the weather box will appear as empty, but when the scenario is saved the original weather setting is retained.
Added a completely new option under Check Routes and Scenarios, there is now a new option to Check QD consists and fragments. This was brought about after someone on uktrainsim noticed that some QD scenarios were failing due to invalid consists. On checking it turned out the QD consists included 3rd party locomotives he did not have. The new option brings up a screen with buttons to Check QD Consists and one to Check QD Fragments. Running the first one will bring up a list of QD Consists you have, and after it runs a report of all missing rolling stock and QD Fragments is shown. (Note QD fragments are sets of stock, like rakes of carriages which can be combined with a loco to form a full QD Consist - many QD Consists do not list any rolling stock at all, just a number of fragments). Similarly, running the Check QD Fragments will bring up a list of fragments you have then a report of missing rolling stock used by them. You can save the list in various formats including as an Excel file. -
