As a mac guy i am still a bit unsure. Are all geforce cards by heart Nvidia cards, even if the manufactor is something else. Like MSI or Zotan or Asus?
I am asking because it’s important for me that nvidia shadowplay works.

No need to apologize!

I am just playing regular hdmi resolution (is that what is called 1080p?)
What i am looking for is getting rid of the freezes, where ts will freeze for any amount of time, up to 20 seconds sometimes, but often just half a second, and then continue. I’ve read that this is because there only is 1gb of vram in the 650 card. So if i can get rid of those, then i am happy.

143er Was the upgrade worth it to you? Did you notice any difference?

As the title says. I have a rather old gaming pc (desktop) with a nvidia gtx 650 ti Graka in it. The cpu is an i5 3,4ghz. 16gb ram.
This is a pretty underspecced system. But yet it has served me ok, it has not been terrible. But i do have quite a few freezes (not just Nachladerückeln) and stutters that are not low fps.
So i was thinking, if a Graka upgrade would be worth it. I am looking to buy used, and i am not in the market for a new pc at the moment. I only use my pc for TS.
I am aware that the cpu is limiting my fps, but as i said it is not too bad, as long as i keep faax etc at low settings.
What would be the minimum Nvidia card for me to experience a smoother TS experience?

Ghosttrain That’s pretty cool too.

Does that mean that Rendsburg-Kiel is included in the route?

Just drove the Regensburg - Ingolstadt QD. I must say that i find this offering from RSSLO really good. In TS (or any simulation) you have to make believe, and i actually found it convincing. They simply get better with each route. There were also some new assets that i hadn’t seen before. Add to that, i just love Germany when the landscape is hills, like much of this route. And in that respect, i really did feel at home in this route. One thing though. Is it just me, or is it like they put a bit more work into their German routes than the Austrian?
Technically speaking: Signals seem to be on the mark. Tracks are smooth to drive, vegetation is again getting better.
So this one is a clear winner for me.

manku All you have to do is look at the RSSLO homepage and see what vehicles are included. The BR151 is not one of them. It’s from the ELAP.

You can change the camerawiews that are available frome the arrow keys. Takes some knowledge and experience to do so though.

xtrame90 There is already a utillity for Train Simulator called Ts Tools (formerly known as RW Tools), it’s used by thousands of TS users. So you might want to reconsider the name of your utillity. It is not fair to the creator of TS Tools, and it will create confusion too.

tom87 Well in TS you have to make believe. It is after all a simulation. Drive to Ingolstadt in TS but pretend it’s not the end of the drive. Use your illusions

When we drive to Hausach, we also have to pretend it’s not the end. But it’s still a good TS ride.

wittjoker Then you are fairly wrongly convinced, since you have to.
wittjoker Watch this Führerstandmitfahrt.
Just before 1:30 the driver passes two Vorsignalwiederholern (and then passes the main signal immidiatly after). Both Wiederholern are acknowledged. You can’t miss the pzb beep.

You can wait to the sifa alarm sounds before canceling it. You have 4 seconds after it sounds. Some German traindrivers do that, while others prefer to cancel it as soon as it lights up which is two (i think) seconds before the alarm sounds. So just go by your preference.
-
jpvdveer Well there is absolutely no reason to look after magnets. Or rather, you have to acknowledge signals not magnets.
Example: distant signal repeaters (Vorsignaleiederholer). They rarely have magnets, but if they show a restriction (expect stop, or below 100) you STILL have to acknowledge.
Same with speed reduction warning signs (yellow triangles) below 100. It does NOT matter if it has magnets or not. You still have to acknowledge.
In short. Anything that warns of anything from stop to below 100kmh MUST be acknowledged. Magnets does not even come into play in this rule.
wittjoker You only have to acknowledge warnings of speeds under 100km/h. Still very simple though.

Autobuy for me.
Perhaps edit the thread title to include Regensburg - Ingolstadt.

I found a way to increase the distance that you can read the Ks signals. For me this was my greatest annoyance of the route (after DTG finally updated it).
Finally i am not struggling to read the next signal, and sometimes hitting the brakecurve too late on the sections where you can go above 150kmh.

As long as it doesn’t look empty from the Führerstand, then it’s fine.
