ist das unter der Geschwindigkeitsanzeige die Tempomat?

Yes. The red LED show the target speed. Also there will be a readout on the blue LCD for the target speed too. The cruise system came out very nicely in this model - it needs some good documentation to explain it but it's quite simple to use (like the real train)

It seems like this is going to be a REALLY popular train, so I think I will make the paint templates available on my support site once the model is finished.

That´s really weird. Why would´t they want it? It´s free advertisement for them (at least that's my guess).

Who knows? I find this all the time. Some companies jump at the chance to see their stuff in the games. Some want a license fee (actually, a LOT want a license fee), and some just say outright "no". For example Provincie North Holland gave me permission to put the R-Net red/black/grey colours in the model, but that paint scheme is on top of an Abellio train, and Abellio have refused permission to use their logos. BUT Abellio are a child company of the NS, and they HAVE given me permission to use the NS logos.
So NS yes, Abellio no, Rnet yes.

    Confusing :)

What's interesting is that Meridian said they don't want their colours in the game at all. It is possible that they would come after reskinners too. This wouldn't be without precedent. American Airlines once sued a reskinner in the Flight Simulator community for reskinning an aircraft in AA colours.

Trademark law is a weird world. I don't fully understand it - I just have to live it in to be legal :)

    Hey,
yup, the sound is in fact different, but very similar. Could be related to the fact that the Dutch version uses DC and the German one AC.

That would explain it. The traction motors are the same but there is some voltage conversion going on which is why the "whine" is different. That is my theory anyway :D

Sounds like the German one doesn't have the step-up step-down in pitch.
Well - the sound is a gigantic pain to do in this game anyway. I'll try to get the Dutch one right and if I have enough patience left I will see if I can get the differences to the German one :)

@ChrisTrains Hey Chris the Train looks great but dont you think the Destinationdisplay is a bit too small or is it just the perspective? Would it be possible to get a Screenshot of the Front with the Perspective from right ahead the train?

It's all subject to change :) The only photos of the real train right now have digital clocks on the display and the text is actually pretty small. Once they start showing destinations, I can update it :)

Photos and videos would be great - send me an email through my website :)
I know the Suwex version is more than a repaint - there are differences in the doors, windows and roof too :)

If I can get the relevant licenses for the German versions (Meridian and DB Regio SÜWEX), my plan was to put the PZB90 system in them that I wrote for the ODEG GTW.
The Dutch version will have the Dutch deadman system, and ATB-EG (Dutch train protection system, first-generation).
I'm concentrating on completing the Dutch train first. I don't yet know if the first pack will come with the German versions or whether they will be added later.

    Hi
I am always willing to make improvements where I can. So :
Things I can fix easily, and have put on my list for future update:
Black doors instead of red - easy
Trash bin at the seats - if you have a photo, I can do this easily but I don't have any photos that show this.
Shunting light - left side only instead of top-only? Easy.
Doors with "T" - I've always had problems trying to get the game to allow me to use cab controls for the doors. The whole way the doors work in the game is very broken. I can look into this (again) but I can't promise anything.

If you can answer the shunting light question and find me a picture of the trash can......

Things that are very hard to do:
THE LCD monitor in the cab. To make it fully functional I'd need to put a lot of extra controls in, with invisible buttons that you could touch, and hope that the game could 'see' the buttons. Then how to control the screen? At the moment it's just a texture with a couple of items laid on top. I would need hundreds of lines of scripting to make it work too. To make it fully functional would be - I think - not possible within the limits of this game.
Destinations from cab - because this is normally done via the LCD screen, again it becomes very hard to implement.
