You can have a look at used Graphic Cards, if you're lucky you get a cheap one.
Yes, i quite agree you can, however, a brand new machine deserves brand new components. I don't like buying used second hand PC equipment, you don't know what condition it is in, and if it breaks, or, doesn't work properly after a little while, there is often no warranty and you cannot get a refund from the seller, so, it's a waste of money. If you obtain something new you can get a replacement from the seller if anything bad happens to it as it would be under consumer/customer guarantee.

8 GB of memory on the graphics card is probably enough for now.
But in the future, this may become a problem.
It depends on the games you play and of course on the resolution.
My opinion: If I would buy a new PC now, I would look out for at least 10 GB of graphics memory.
Unfortunately, due to Crypto mining many of the larger Graphics cards, RTX 3070, 3080, 3090 are not available at the prices they were back in 2019. I obtained my new PC in October last year hand built by a specialist company, the largest nVidia GPU they sold was a 3060ti nothing else was available. You can buy anything now on Amazon, etc, but, you can pay ridiculous prices for the privilege, over 1,000 Euros for a card, and the prices don't look like dropping for a long time.

Yes, that looks very good indeed, Kim. Not quite sure about Windows 11 though, if you play other PC games on it, not everyone has caught up with the transition yet. I also obtained a 750w ultra quiet Corsair, probably more than adequate for my needs, I thought a 550w was too small, and I opted to have 3 fans in my case.
I also have a 32 inch curved monitor from iiyama which makes driving more fun, it displays a bit more depth in the cab of all my trains, makes me feel like a real train driver.
Keep your scenario packs coming, they are wonderful.
All the best
