REAL DRIVES by Kim Olesen

    • REAL DRIVES by Kim Olesen

A REAL DRIVE is a quick drive with random generated AI trains ahead of the player train so the player train will have to stop at red signals. And so the REAL DRIVES are much more interesting to drive than regular quick drives. And because of the random factor they are never the same.

A little demonstration video with a REAL DRIVE from Schönefeld to Seddin.

I have a lot of real drives in the “almost ready” state.

      Tirol
      Mosel Valley
      Mittelwaldbahn (dtg)
      Seddin Freight route
      Köln - Koblenz
      Hamburg - Hannover
      Basel - Freiburg
      Rhein Main S-bahn
      Konstanz - Villingen

I think the Mittelwaldbahn will be released tomorrow. If you want i will move Seddin freight up as the next release after that, and then perhaps Freiburg - Basel real drives.

Here you can see how the “random nuance in 2d vegetation” effect in RWenhancer works. As most of you know the original Mosel Valley route is very much the same green color all the time. Here it is really helped by that RWenhancer effect.

At Trier hbf (right at the end of the video) i get a zwangsbremsung when passing the schutzsignale. Even when using befehl40. What am i doing wrong at that particular point?

    • At Trier Hbf you have to use “wachsam” by passing the Signal because of the Vr0. You don’t have to press “Befehl”
The main Signal is on “Kennlicht” that means that the Main Signal is in “stand by” and does not exist for your train, the warning signal keeps existing.

In fact you get the emergency brake 4 s after passing the signal (that’s the time that you have for pressing Wachsam). That means that you didn’t acknowledge the 1000Hz Magnet. At 2000 Hz Magnet (Hp0) you get immediately the Zwangsbremsung

      Anyway really impressive work! *perfekt*

      Thanks *dhoch*
I was suspecting that i was misunderstanding the protection signal and while i can find lots of good respurces on German signalling on the internet i haven’t yet found one that goes into depth concerning protection signals on platforms.

    • @Minuetto 8 No, the signal, where @Kim_olesen1 got a Zwangsbremsung is a visually a Wiederholer, where you don't have to press anything (as there is no Vorsignaltafel, the "V" + the "V" turned around). The Vorsignal is visible at 1:21:47" and that is the point to press the Wachsamtaste.

In my opinion this might be an error in the signals by @Schuster: The signal at the platform itself is a DEs_HV_HSPVSH_SB_rd_1T.xml, a main signal combined with a Vorsignal for reduced distance and nothing else special there. I do not know how Kim got a HS with a Kennlicht without placing a Hp0-trigger there.

Placing triggers in Quickdrives is otherwise impossible. That might explain why the PZB was active there. What remains is how he got the Kennlicht ?

I’ve never once acknowledged a repeater that warned of a stop signal. I am very sure that what you are saying about wachsam at repeaters is not correct. There are no magnets at repeaters either.

    • I think the signal shows the correct aspect. But the PZB magnet is working, and it should be offline or be on with 500HZ working (not 1000Hz) in this situation.
