[AP] Track Enhancement Pack

    Armstrong Powerhouse hat ein Enhancement Pack für Gleise, Stromschienen und Schotter auf britischen Strecken angekündigt.
    Die Gleise stammen ursprünglich von virtualRailroads und wurden im Add-On Konstanz - Villingen verwendet.

    *facepalm**ohman* Warum? Weil ich das zB für Trainworks als FREEWARE gemacht habe und für so leichte Arbeit Geld zu verlangen ist fast schon ne Unverschämtheit. Damit macht sich AP nun bei mir weniger beliebt. Hatte eigentlich immer Respekt vor seiner Arbeit. Weil solche Repaints sind leicht anzufertigen, und wenn ich sehe, wie viele Leute sich bei Trainworks über die falschen deutschen Gleise beschwert haben, ist es für mich noch viel weniger nachvollziehbar, dass das nun anscheinend wieder einige Leute gut finden. Payware muss im TS wirklich einen unglaublich hohen Stellenwert haben ...


    Eigentlich schon fast ein Aufruf dazu, für dieses erscheinende Pack dann ein Freewarepaket anzubieten. Eigentlich ...

    A lot of buyers of British routes do not have KV or any interest in it, it comes with an idiot proof installer. Bottom line so that many people have never heard of Trainworks who have heard of AP. Of course, people want to do without the much nicer vegetation provided in the Trainworks packs. Richard Armstrong is no longer at college so presumably he is now trying to make a living from TS. I suspect he will find it difficult and his products will inevitably become more expensive.

    Sehr interessant welche Routen u.a. unterstützt werden:

    • DTG Hamburg - Hanover
    • DTG Mittenwaldbahn: Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Innsbruck
    • DTG Munich - Augsburg
    • DTG Munich - Garmisch-Partenkirchen
    • DTG West Rhine: Köln - Koblenz

    Als ob AP nicht wüsste das Trainworks sowas für die Strecken for Free anbietet. Zumal München Gap und HH-H einen "Neubau" bekommen haben.
    Also mir fällt nur eins dazu ein *facepalm*

    Soll er machen was er will. Wehe es kommt einer, dass dieses Paket sich nicht mit meinen Upgrades verträgt. *facepalm* Mittenwald bekommt noch ein wesentlich besseres Track-Update von AC, und München-Augsburg ja auch. Da können seine Gleise net mithalten. Hat er dann überhaupt auch die LZB-Gleise von vR bekommen? Braucht er ja. Naja ...

    Indeed British tracks do look very different to German ones, but how many owners of TS know this, and when you are travelling at speed it is not so noticeable. Even when you know the difference German tracks look better than the DTG girders. I am also starting to view AP differently, which is sad, because without him, myself and many others would have given up TS. But the world changes, for good or bad. I have had a few issues with a couple of his recent products I am sad to say.

    Ich finde des ned mal so schlecht was der Armstrong da macht.


    Es heißt ja ned umsonst aus Schei... Geld machen.


    Einfacher kann man es ja nicht mehr machen. Installieren und fertig.
    Und nicht erst vorher noch 1500 Sachen ziehen müssen. Was mich persönlich nicht stört aber bestimmt einige andere :D

    Anstatt eines Setup hast bei den Track Upgrades auch nur eine Rar Datei ziehen müssen. Und installieren war halt Copy and Paste. Aber zusammensuchen muss man da nichts.


    Der einzige Vorteil ist hier, dass man die vR Tracks nicht besitzen muss, sondern sie werden mitgeliefert.

    But many English users complained about my FREEWARE track upgrades because of the not English looking Tracks. And now a Payware developer does the same and all is okay? Very interesting. Really very interesting. :/

    Personally I have never seen anybody complaining in public, but I have seen them acknowledging this, which is a different thing. AP's market for this is those that want a simple one click solution, and most of them have no idea what track should look like.

    In meinen Augen ein erneuter Tiefschlag gegen die Freeware Leute :thumbdown: Warum hockt man sich eigentlich noch stundenlang hin um etwas umsonst anzubieten *denk*
    Ganz ehrlich, da kann es einem nur noch vergehen... Die Leute bis zum bitteren Ende zu melken ist ja offensichtlich "in", also warum zukünftig noch was umsonst machen?


    Wenn ich so etwas sehe vergeht mir der Spaß an dem ganzen nur noch mehr! Nur weiter so, gebt jedem eine Payware Freigabe und begrabt die Freewareszene endgültig :x

    Also mal wieder die Payware-Hersteller für sowas unterstützen... Anstatt mal was für Freeware zu spenden, welche es bereits gibt... ;)

    AP needs to keep the money rolling in, like DTG, VR, or any other manufacturer who relies on TS for their income. I suspect it may be his downfall. There are many on Facebook saying they will not buy it because they already have the freeware versions. Whether enough of the others will buy. So it has been done with thought to Ram limits is another thing. AP has already said that it will not update the 444, 455 etc for the new PDL route as he hopes to produce an enhancement pack at twice the price. Once it would have been done without question, I doubt it would have hurt sales of an enhancement pack when it appeared, but the change in attitude probably will.
